About Us
Sewing Genius is a home-based business located in Collierville, Tennessee. It began with the award of a US patent for the Embroidery Hoop Guard in February 2006. The Hoop Guard was the creation of Adrianne Manson (our resident Genius!) and came about one day while she was working in her sewing room. She noticed that her friend’s embroidery hoops were covered with fuzz and adhesive overspray. She was trying to hoop a towel and she didn’t want her hoops to get covered with the same mess. A light went on and the Hoop Guard was born. Since that time other ideas have found their way across her cutting table.
Adrianne loves to make things work by using things that someone else might not think were useful, the “trash to treasure” approach. She also loves to share her ideas and discoveries.
At the encouragement of loved ones, she launched Sewing Genius with the goal of sharing what she can to help others to make creative projects and to learn new skills. It is a journey that is always unfolding.
